this c27 is the first release by a london based drum and synth duo who have been carefully honing their craft by spending hours in their studio. The a side features a straight live to tape recording whilst the flip includes three pieces created with minimal editing and overdubs. sleepy jazz for tired cats sounds not unlike the radiophonic workshop recording a jazz act that has incorporated elements of dub and drone to create a sphere of sound that is chaotic but deeply considered.

"it sounds like the incidental music when moondog gets stuck in the time machine" - thegeographytrip.com
"mixing elements of junkyard percussion, modular synth weirdness, and general bass fuckere. at times it sounds like ghost box’s very distant, very ramshackle cousin, scaring out spirits that live underneath mountains of dust. but when tomaga mix in free jazz with elements of stilted dub it becomes something else entirely." - part of factmag.com's essential cassette releases, august 2013
"there are hints of jazz throughout the album, albeit the kind of jazz that has been stripped so far back to it’s primitive roots as to represent little more than a fractured percussive click on which to hang a series of super dark, ultra slow synth drones." - secretdecoder.net
